In The Hunter’s Trick, Dogs are seen as something to be used by humans. This relationship often is one of the human using the Dogs as a tool with little regard to the feelings of the Dog. The tool most related to the dog would be a weapon. The Dog receives as much love and respect as an ax or a spear; there is no personal connection.
In Dog Husband, people are able to turn into dogs. This transformation is closely tied with maturity. When humans are in their dog form, they take irresponsible actions, but they are forced to grow up when their dog skins are taken away from them.
