Site Walkthrough

Welcome to the site walkthrough. This site contains a large amount of information and this tab's purpose is to educate the user so that the user will be able to find anything that he or she needs as fast as possible. The walkthrough will go through each of the side tabs so that every Animal Folklore experience is the best it can be!

Animals

The 'Animals' tab is where you want to go if you have a specific animal that you want to learn more about. It works like a detailed filing system. By clicking on the "Animals' tab, you open up a new page with information about about specific animal subgroup. The subgroups of are: Mammals, Birds, Insects, Fish, Amphibians, and Reptiles. The tabs get more specific until they get to the specific animal information.

For a more direct way of finding an animal, just type its name in the search box that is above the side tabs.

Locations

The 'Locations' tab is for when you want to know more about a specific region and the animals and animal tales that are in that area. It works a lot like the 'Animals' tab and is tiered similarly. As of now, there are only two major locations, West Coast North America and Eastern Asia. More areas will be added as more research is completed.

Traits

The traits tab has a list of traits that you can click on. Each trait has its own page with information on the trait and animals that embody the trait.

Stories

The story tab has a list of folk stories that you can click on. By clicking on the story name, you will receive a summary of the story and a citation for a book were the story can be found.

News

The 'News' tab is a list of recent changes to the website. The date of the change is located at the top of each individual post. This is a quick way of determining if anything new has been added to the web site.

Feedback

This tab is for contacting the webmaster directly. I look at the feedback every day and personally answer every message. I feel that this gives my website a personal touch compared to those who only check incoming mail once a week. This is also a private way of conversing with me, as opposed to the 'Guestbook' that allows for other users to view any comments made.

Guestbook

If you're looking for a little community, look no further than the 'Guestbook' tab. This tab provides a place for all users to communicate with me and other users. Suggestions and requests for research can be placed here. If you are looking for a more professional or private form of communication, you should look into the 'Feedback' tab.

About the Creator

The 'About the Creator' tab has information about myself and the reasons that I decided to create this project.
